Reminiscent of the first Swiss wristwatches made from synthetic material in the late 1960’s, a new version of the Flipper was launched on the advent of the Fortis centennial. Named Fortis Colors for its customizable appearance, the Flipper watch is a modern classic whose storied past began long before the Fortis centennial.
The original Flipper appealed to a wide swath of people around the world. Ron Wood of the Rolling Stones made sure to have the Flipper on his wrist during while touring in 1982. A Flipper was even produced for the Ronald Reagan’s United States presidential campaign in 1982.
Today, the new, updated Fortis Colors collection is a watch module which can be combined with interchangeable straps in 10 different colors, according to the whim of its wearer.
